Talk to family, not a comments thread

Quick answer

A public post about the stop can be saved, shared, and later read by people you did not intend to brief.

Why this is a cost issue

People post because they want a ride, a recommendation, or sympathy. The post can also become a saved screenshot. That does not automatically decide a case, and this site will not pretend it does. It does create a record you no longer control.

What to say instead

Call one person who can help with a pickup, childcare, or the name of a local attorney referral service. Give them the lot address and the court date on the citation. You do not need to narrate the stop.

What not to explain online

Do not reconstruct the traffic stop, the test, or what you think the officer “really knew.” Do not post the citation photo with your full name and the agency. Those details belong in a confidential conversation with counsel.

We are not your lawyer

This guide is educational. If you already posted, do not write a follow-up “clarification” thread. Ask a licensed attorney in your state what, if anything, to do next.
